We follow Moses and Israel from Exodus 33 into the land. For Moses and the people the desert became a special place of encounter and provision. There were remarkable moments as God revealed Himself, demonstrating His power and provision to the people, but it was not to be their final destination.

Finding a book that deals with the ‘painful journey of being transformed by the love of God through suffering’ is quite difficult. We live in a Christian culture that looks too much on the side of triumphalism, than at those deep places brought about by various forms of suffering, however that pain thrusts itself upon us.

The Reformation must continue, as it still has work to do. It’s cry is essentially ‘back to the Bible’ and ‘away with man-made rules and traditions‘. As such it is a cry that must be heard in every denomination, and every church, in every generation.
