The NIV Bible, or the New International Version to give it its full title, was first published in 1978 – forty years ago this year. The British English edition followed the year after, in 1979. Joanna Davey, Hodder Faith’s Bible Editor, looks both back and forwards at the legacy of the NIV Bible.

This hardback book, is lovely - and it’s full of praise to God. It covers the entire year, dealing with one aspect of faith each day. It is a devotional title, and it enables me to recognise that God is always there, regardless of how I feel in myself today.
