Description
David Schofield was diagnosed in June 2008 with myeloma and since then has sought to try to make sense of his illness and bring something positive from it. Here David offers his response to some of the pastoral questions that arise from incurable illness, examining the impact it has had on himself and those close to him. Within a spiritual context, he goes on to share his experience of hospitalisation, practical routines and trying to establish new normalities. David sees our lives, with all their ups and downs, as troubled water and God, in the person of Jesus, as the bridge leading us back to the peace of the Father.
