About the Author
Robyn Gool was born February 11, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan. At age nine he received Jesus as his saviour and also began traveling around the country playing tennis. In pursuit of a sports career, he accepted a tennis scholarship from Oral Roberts University. While at ORU, Robyn received the gift of the Holy Spirit and was called into Christian mi
nistry in December 1972.It was also at ORU that Robyn met Marilyn, the young lady from Nassau, Bahamas, who was later to become his wife. Today they have three children, Robyn Johms, Marilyn Joi, and Sanchia Jentle.In 1980, God led Robyn and Marilyn to begin an independent work in Charlotte, North Carolina. That work, Victory Christian Center, has grown in many ways since July 1980. At present, Sunday morning attendance runs over two thousand, and a full volunteer staff supports nursery, children's, and adult Bible classes. The outreach ministry, More than Conquerors Ministries, includes a daily television and radio program aired locally, a Bible school for laymen, and a school for those called into the ministry.Robyn has appeared on the Inspirational Network, Lester Sumrall's LESEA Alive telecast, and Richard Roberts Live. He has shared the Word of God both nationally and internationally for various ministries.
