The contents of this recording represent my response to a church that has always inspired a mixture of love and irritation in me. ‘Silliness and subtle Pharisaism still dog our attempts to understand and convey the wonderful, mystical ordinariness of God’s desire to be a Father to his people. ‘How a boringly orthodox Christian like me ended up using humour as a counter to these negative influences is beyond my understanding, but my journey through the last two decades has certainly been a rewarding and fascinating one.’ - Adrian Plass
