Books help define who I am. They have ushered me on a journey of faith; have introduced me to the wonders of science and the natural world; have informed me about issues such as justice and race. More importantly, they have been a source of delight and adventure and beauty, opening windows to a reality I would not otherwise know.

A group of near-strangers meet. They share food. They watch a film clip together. And then quickly transition from small talk to discussing some of the big questions around the Christian faith. Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? Sure, it can sometimes be awkward. There can be uncomfortable silences and opposing opinions but that’s what forms the backbone of the journey on Alpha and what’s remarkable is that these near-strangers often become close life-long friends.

A new name in children’s publishing has emerged over the last year – Sarah Grace. As a trained psychotherapist, she uses her counselling skills to oversee the development of authors’ manuscripts, working with them closely to ensure their titles are the best they can be. However, author development is not the only string to her bow, as in 2017 she launched the Sarah Grace children’s imprint.
