Description
Celebrating the life and ministry of journalist, broadcaster and spiritual writer Michael Ford, The Blessing of Others contains spiritual and theological reflections from those who knew him best.
Michael’s distinguished career included broadcasting nationally and internationally with the BBC, and interviewing some of the world’s most inspiring spiritual figures, including Desmond Tutu, Henri Nouwen, Mychal Judge, Basil Hume and Rowan Williams. His books included acclaimed biographical portraits of Nouwen and Judge. He died unexpectedly of a brain tumour in November 2024.
This rich collection of essays – by his family, friends, professional colleagues and associates – demonstrate two underlying themes to Michael’s own writing: how the Other, those wounded, dispossessed and on the margins of society, and those who have a distinctive, Christian lifestyle, are able to become a blessing to those whom they meet; and the significance and transformational nature of contemplative and liturgical living.
