A Father’s Meditations on Suffering Guide Weary Hearts to God’s Sustaining Love
While painful moments test our strength, ongoing suffering tries our faith. Over time, our prayers give way to doubt. We focus on our grief instead of God’s faithfulness. Eventually, we may wonder if he sees us at all. In seasons of unrelenting affliction, we need daily guidance to renew our trust in the Savior’s sovereignty.
When pastor Garrett Kell’s daughter Eden was hospitalized with life-threatening seizures, he endured months of uncertainty. In the midst of his deepest despair, he wrote these honest meditations on grief, faith, and surrender. The Scripture-centered reflections strengthen you through any trial, and daily prayers help you bring your anxieties to God, even when you can’t find the words to say. Each chapter also ends with a memorable message of hope and Bible verses for ongoing encouragement. Personal and practical, Kell’s insights offer biblical wisdom that will draw you closer to God as you await redemption.
