Description
Where do our ethics come from? Are they based on unchanging realities or subject to revision as human culture develops and changes? What distinguishes Christian ethics from other moral claims? In Giver of All Good, Chase R. Kuhn argues that Christian morality begins with the character of God; only by knowing the Creator can we see ourselves and our world properly.
Recognizing that what we believe informs how we live, Kuhn asserts that our theology guides our ethics. By beginning at the beginning, with God as he reveals himself in the Bible, we can best make sense of life. In this fascinating book, Kuhn walks us through a triune basis for Christian ethics, as we encounter the Father's gift of his Son to meet our deepest moral need, and experience true freedom through the life his Spirit brings.
Far from mere philosophizing, Giver of All Good shows that when we begin with God in forming our ethics rather than with ourselves, we can be confident in our daily decision-making and our interactions with other people.
