Description
When was the last time you prayed with power and passion, expecting God to move in remarkable ways? For Christians in the West, our prayers often feel small, complacent, and perfunctory. Why? Because compared to many other parts of the world, it's relatively easy to be a Christian in the West. As a result, we may not see God move in miraculous ways.
By contrast, the prayers of Chinese house churches have been shaped by suffering, marginalization, and persecution. They have an urgency and a power that we often lack. This collection of prayers, translated into English for the first time, offers a window into both the historic and contemporary Chinese house church experience. It not only teaches us how to pray with faith and fervor, it reminds us of our unbreakable union with the triumphant Christ, even in the darkness.
For anyone whose prayer life has gone stale, who wants to feel connected to the global church, or who is simply looking for bold new ways to pray, Hidden in Jesus will lead you through times of trial with worship, praise, thanksgiving, repentance, and prayer.
