As you develop a habit of prayer, think about this: • Praise. Begin by telling God how wonderful he is. Focus on the attributes you are grateful for. • Repentance. Before you present your needs to God, take a moment to examine your heart and ask for forgiveness. • Ask. What do you need from your Father in heaven today? Ask boldly; he is listening. • Yield. Ask as if it will be done and yield to God’s will. He knows what you don’t and may have something even better in mind. Trust him.
Some days your prayers may be filled with gratitude, some days with repentance, and some with need. Lay your heart and your prayers at the Father’s feet and wait for his powerful response.
