As in all relationships, there are things we can do that draw us closer to God and things we do, or don t do, that can push us away from Him. This doesn t mean we can earn God s grace and love. Salvation is a free gift God gives to undeserving people. Yet how we engage with God impacts the depth of that relationship. He doesn t leave us to figure that out on our own, though. There are spiritual disciplines emphasized and modeled in His Word that help us grow and thrive in ongoing relationship with Him. This study will help new believers begin to grow in Christ by establishing practices that help them engage with God in daily rhythms. It will also help longtime believers continue to grow in Christ by revisiting the purpose of spiritual practices, not as items on a to-do list but as the joyful privilege of life in Christ.
