As far as we know, the Apostle Paul never visited the city of Colosse, but his love for, and care of, the Christians in that place are beyond doubt. Wherever the Gospel had prospered, and local assemblies of Christians had been established, the adversary had attacked the work. Resorting to his well-tried method of mixing truth and lies, and appealing to men to set their perceived knowledge and wisdom above the revealed Word of God, the Devil had been busy in Colosse.
