Some of the references are a bit American and some of the illustrations which mention hunting and meat could be a little upsetting for anyone who is vegan. Possibly don’t read the back of the book as there’s a huge spoiler alert. But ultimately there's a message of comfort for those who have lost a loved one and it is well expressed. Ultimately the book is uplifting.

Ann Wilson describes in such a moving way of how her brother’s death changed her life. I sobbed my way through most of it. God met with her in such a gentle way and she trusted Him throughout it all. He revealed to her in the lowest of times the gifting he had for her which is reflected in her music. Such an inspirational read.

Still at a very young age, Anne Wilson's maturity of her faith is undeniable and deeply encouraging. I always enjoy reading a real life story that reminds me that I am not alone, when I go through life challenges, and how to remain faithful in the midst of suffering. And this is what Anne is brilliant at - whilst telling her story, she builds reader's faith. When I started reading the book, a good friend of mine lost her mother unexpectedly. So I know where my copy of the book is going to.
