Description
What Makes It Through, Sara Groves’ 14th album and first collection of new songs since Floodplain (2015), is a reflection on events of the last several years. Working on both the interpersonal and communal level, the songs of this project speak to the hard work of what it means to arrive at something like truth and reconciliation. Sara Groves is a 20+ year veteran singer/songwriter and recording artist with a passion for justice. Since 2005 she has been an artist advocate with International Justice Mission, a global organization that works to protect the poor from violence. At home in MN, Sara and her husband Troy run a unique community art centre, Art House North, out of a 110 year old church where Sara has recorded her last two albums. Troy and Sara live in St Paul with their three children, Kirby, Toby and Ruby.
