As a child, Petr Jasek (Yash-eck) watched Soviet tanks roll through the streets of his village in Czechoslovakia, taking the country by force and subjecting it to decades of communist oppression. As a result, Petr grew up in the underground church, relying on financial help and Bibles smuggled to his family, which prepared him for living in Islamist hotspots in Africa and the Middle East as an adult. In 2015, he was arrested in Sudan on charges of espionage and sentenced to life in prison, where he was forced to share a cell with ISIS terrorists.
