Wonderborn Studios Series Producer, Joe Watson, shares her journey of helping to create one of the most ambitious faith based Christian media projects – to help families discover God together.
I am blessed to be part of the team that has just launched a brand-new product, Little Worship Company. Our mission is to help children and grown-ups discover God together.
Our company goal is to reach one hundred million children worldwide by 2024.
Why the Little Worship Company?
We know that children spend a significant amount of time consuming media so we wanted to create content that would help them learn about God while having fun.
We also wanted to re-imagine a new way of communicating the Bible and involving children in worship. Therefore, we developed a series of multi-platform and complementary content across DVDs, books and digital where we share biblical truths within entertaining high-quality content.

The Little Worship Company is hosted by the friendly Looyah family – Mr and Mrs Looyah and their son, Hal, who, like any 6-year-old, is incredibly curious about the world around him, including God. They’re colourful puppets who lead the viewers or readers through the content in a similar way to puppets in a mainstream show, like Sesame Street.
Wholehearted
During this project we’ve been inspired by Little Worship Company Wonderborn Studios Series Producer, Joe Watson, shares her journey of helping to create one of the most ambitious faith based Christian media projects – to help families discover God together the verse ‘Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as working for the Lord’ (Colossians, 3:23). We’re aware of the importance of what we’re doing; equipping grown-ups with incredible content to help inspire children in their faith journey. Our materials have been underpinned by a team of theologians.
Encompassing our vision is a real heart for diversity and collaboration, with over 150 children representing all corners of the globe featured in our content.
Products for Church and Home Use
Our research shows that parents and churches are looking for high quality and inspiring children’s Christian content, and our products span both markets, providing cross-pollinated learning from the church to the home, and encouraging all of the family to grow in faith seven days a week. Repetition is important in children’s learning, so through music and reinforced learning, we want to teach children core biblical truths about how much God loves them.
At Home
Our DVD series encourages co-viewing with children and our Big Little Devotional Guide is written to complement our DVD boxset. The reflections, crafts and prayers accompany the Bible verses explored in the DVD, encouraging families to take learning off screen and share faith at home.
At Church
To help churches reach young families, through toddler groups, Sunday School, all-age family services or Messy Church Extra we’ve designed a comprehensive Bible curriculum with a flexible structure that can be used across different outreach activities, discipleship groups and services.
Digital
To create a ‘virtual universe’ for children to engage with, we have created a digital offering which can be used alongside our church and home products called the Little Worship Company World, available to download from the Apple, Google Play and Amazon App Stores.
Who’s behind Little Worship Company?
WonderBorn Studios has brought the Little Worship Company to life with a vision to inspire and awaken wonder across the generations through the highest entertainment experiences.
We’ve pulled together a global team of experienced advisors with senior leaders at the BBC, Disney and PBS in North America. Together, we’re dedicated to producing a new generation of excellent and faith-building content for children, as they start their journey of discovery about who God is and how much they are loved by Him.
